EXPORTS FOREIGN. November •

1 —Per Pi ce Alfred, lor Sydney—l 4 bales bags, Cruickshank, Smart, & Co. J 1 box candles, Thornton, Smith, |£and Firth; 5 casks ri-sin, M. S. Laurie; 10 boxes specie, containing ,£50,000, Bank of New South Wales.

The barque Roderick Dhu, Captain McPherson, for Shanghai, via Hokianga, sailed yesterday morning. The s.s. Prince A'fred, Captain Ponsonby, sailed for Sydney shortly after noon, with 12 passengers and the mails "for Europe. She has also specie mi freight on account of the Bank of New South Wales to the amount of L 50,000. The Wildfire, Captain Tizard, cleared yesterday for Hok'ai.ga The schooner Coral Quem entered outwards for the Soulh Sea Is'andsyesterday. U The schooner Tauranga, Captain Sellars, arrived last n'gLt from Taura.iga, with 16 passengers; she left on Sunday and reports all quiet there. During the past week (July 30) arrivals have ben few, and, as a consequence, a material reduction has taken place in the amount of Tonnage on the berth in Loudon, the present figures being 43,402 register tons for Asia and Africa, and 50,023 for Australasia. In the latter quarter ships are placed more readily than they were, emigration to New Zealand in particular being encouraged by the very strong inducements held out by the Provincial Governments, as well as by the accounts received from them of further gold discoveries; while the Emigration Commissioners have this week engaged two ships, the one for Adelaide and the other for Queensland. Vessels of handy size are in better request for the Eastern berths. Few engagements have b;?en made for coals, and the rates are rather firmer. Return charters are offering from Mauritius, Calcutta, the Rice Ports, Moulmein, and Java.—MitcheWi Maritime Record, July 30.

~ The Tonnage loading in Loudon for the eastward now (August 3 f ))sUn Is at 51,300 tons for the Cape, India, and China. 38,350 for Australia and New _ Zealand. Berth Freights still cj itiiue without much animation, and th« same may be said of those from the Outpnrts. In homeward Charters, thers have been several transactions from the Rice Ports, and for teak from Moulmain, bur the rates are now rather weaker. Ships ar« still wanted from Mauritius and ws note a revival in the demand for tonnage from China since the delivery of last mail. It is anticipated that the shipments of cotton trom Shanghae within the next few months will be very largo.— Mitchell's Maritime R-.eor' 1 .
