Distance and weights to be specified on the day. RULES. 1. All entries to be made and paid for by five o’clock p.m. on the 15th September, to the Secretary of the Races, | Officers’ Mess Hut, Albert Barracks; declaring all particulars, and the colours of the riders, which colours must be adhered to under a penalty of 1 sov. 2. The decision of the majority of the Stewards to be final in case of a dispute. 3. No officer of the regular army or navy will be allowed to run a horse at the meeting who is not a subscriber of at least two pounds to the race fund 4. Should the weather prove unfavourable, the Stewards have it in their power to postpone the meeting. 5. Any owner exercising his horses on the race-course , after a day to be hereafter named will be disqualified from running such horses at the meeting. 6. The English Jockey Club and Market Harborough Steeple Chases Rules will be observed ; a copy of which may be seen on application to the Secretary. 7. The winners of the Auckland Stakes, Criterion Stakes, or Grand Military to pay 5 sovs. each towards expenses ; all other winners 2 sovs. each. 8. The bands of the 18th Royal Irish and 50th Regiments will play during the Races, by permission of the Commanding Officers. 9.
