SEEDS, SEEDS, SEEDS.—Reduction of 25 per cent, in prices.—The undersigned, having lately imported a large quantity of agricultural seeds, (such as lucerne, white and red clover, ryegrass, mixed meadow grass, lawn grass, trifolium, trefoil, and others), offers the same at prices which must speedily ensure their selling, so that farmers, graziers, and others may take advantage of the present fine season by laying down fattening paddocks. Any of the above seeds may be sown atnong the growing crops of wheat, barley, or oats, without injury to other crops, with no further culture than merely rolling in : the roller covers the seed sufficiently and prepares the land for the scythe, thereby a field of Italian ryegrass and clover may be laid down for about 255. per acre, which will remain a permanent pasture for many years without further expense. Hay growers would do well to turn their attention to these clovers and grasses for hay, instead of trusting to the uncertainty of procuring seed oats every year, as instanced by the great scarcity at the present time. From the recent scarcity of hay here, wc have been obliged to import largely from Adelaide, Launcston, &c. This ought not to be the case where there are such facilities for the culture of artificial grasses in New South Wales. The above grasses may be sown during winter, spring, or autumn months. Parties favouring us with orders for our seeds may rely on us only sending what are really genuine. FERRIS & SON, Pitt street, near Theatre, Sydney. Perennial (Red Clover) Cow, or Marl Grass. JUST RECEIVED, a large parcel of the above, almost equal to Lucerne as regards the immense produce from each acre of Land. This is the finest of all grasses for fattening stock, and enriching old worn-out paddocks. Makes splendid Hay. Quantity per acre, 20 pounds. The undersigned have reduced the above to Is. per lb. per cwt., or Is. 6d. per lb. in less quantity. FERRIS & SUN, Pitt-street, near Theatre, Sydney.
