The New-Zealander. PUBLISHED DAILY.

AUCKLAND, WEDNESDAY, FEB. 11, 1863. THE ORPHEUS.

He just and fear not; Let all the ends thou aim’st at. be thy Country’s, Thy God's, and Truth's.

The cutter Thistle , from Kawhia, arrived at the Onehuuga Wharf yesterday at 2 p.m. She reports having communicated with the Avon, at the Heads, at half-past nine yesterday morning, and learned that, up to that time, none of the bodies of the Orpheus' crew had been found. The Harrier's people had only picked up a chest of drawers, belonging to one of the lieutenants, and some small fragments of the wreck. The /ivoti is expected to come up to Ouehuugo in the course of this day, for provisions. A boat, which had crossed over to Onehuuga from Awitu, reported that the settlers of that district had turned out to search along the shore towards the South Head, for any bodies or portions of the wreck that might have drifted in, but nothing whatever belonging to the ill-fated vessel was seen by them.
