MONDAY, NOVEMBER lOtii, 1862. present: —Messrs. Cadman, Macrcady, Darby and flic Chairman. A plan upon the larger scale required, could not now be prepared without an expenditure for re-survey, for which there is no pecuniary provision. 1 have, &c., Wm. Powditch, Speaker of the Auckland Provincial Council. The Secretary of the City Board of Works, Auckland. Ordered, that both letters be laid on the table. The following letters were also received respecting the improvement ot \V hite-strcct: Auckland, 6th November, 1862. Siu,— In accordance with your letter dated 18th September, 1862, I have applied to Mr. Stark, who Ims granted leave to allow a wooden bridge to be placed on his allotment, at the corner of White and Queen streets, for our accommodation in cartage to our doors. We, the inhabitants of White-street, humbly request that you will be pleased to grant us that necessary accommodation at your earliest convenience.
