THIS COMPANY is established for the purpose of facilitating the commercial intercourse so rapidly increasing between Australasia and Europe. It has met with a very favourable and gratifying reception, the whole of the first issue of shares having been most readily subscribed for, and paid upon, by a highly influential body of proprietors. The objects to which the views of the Company arc principally directed arc. First, to open a channel for the introduction and profitable employment of English capital in Australasia ; and, Secondly, to establish a responsible and effective agency, as a trustworthy medium of communication between the Colonics and Europe. In order to carry out these objests, the Company proposes,— 1. —To receive in England money on deposit at a fixed rate of interest, upon the security of a large subscribed capital, and to invest such monies, together with the paid up capital, on mortgage of both Town ami Agricultural Freehold Estate in Australia. 2.—To remit to these Colonies, and advance upon mortgage of rates, tolls, assessments, debentures, and other approved securities, all sums intrusted by English Capitalists to the Board fur that purpose. 3.—To undertake the negoctation of Loans for all local Governments, Municipalities, Railways, Road and Irrigation Boards, Public Bodies, and JointStock Companies ; also to transact in the United Kingdom, and elsewhere, their financial and other agency business ; and to ettect the sale in England of Colonial Shares, and other securities. 4.—To collect Rents and other property on commission, for absentees and others, and to remit the proceeds, thus providing an agency free from the risks which occasionally arise.

Ganeral observations. Estate holders desirous of bringing: under the notice of English capitalists, land or other property they may have for disposal, are invited to avail themselves of this Company’s Agency ; all information will he registered in London and widely diffused throughout the country, commission being charged only in the event of sale. The Company being entirely devoted to the purposes of Trust, Loan, and Agency business, will be precluded from entering into speculations on its own account, and the Directors being free from any local or parly interest are in a position to do equal justice to all who may intrust their business to the Company’s management. By steadfastly adhcrcing to this principle, and by assisting in the development of the great resources of these prosperous Colonics, this Company will be justified in looking lor a general support, and ultimately a fair return for the capital invested.
