MEXICO.

Via' California, we {Sydney Herald) have advices from Mexico, to the sth of January. The most important news is a decree by Governor Vega, declaring that for four years ores may be exported from the ports of Sinaloa without duty. Hereto fore such exportation has been forbidden. The news of the defeat of Miramon caused great rejoicing in Mazatlan. The following is a translation of the leading article in the Opinion de Sinaloa announcing the event :—Great, very great for Sinaloa, is the first day of the year 1861. The brilliant sun of freedom sends forth its rajs, and the people—favorite plant of the Eternal—upon feeling in its breast the vivifying heat which the king star favours it, raises its brow, and a cry of enthusiasm breaks from its lips. Upon the wings of fame its words fly, until they are repeated by a thousand noble hearts in the confines of the Republic, " Mexico is free ! Mexico has conquered her rights ! Mexico is now happy !" Our pen is dull. It will never be able to properly appreciate the great worth of the glorious news which we publish below, and which was received by the Government of this State at a quarter-past eight this morning by an express from the Government of Durango. It appears from official reports, that on the 22nd ultimo (December), a portion ot the Liberal army, under the command of the most excellent Senor D«n Jesus G. Ortega routed in the hills of San Miguel de Capulalpa the rebel Miramon, who, with 8000 men, the last remains of the sacriligeous forces of our corrupt priests, attempted to extend still farther the pernicious period of their odious domination ; but Providence is just and it placed a term to the sanguinary struggle, which, for three years, has torn the Republic, permitting the triumph to those who fought for the rights of her children. On the 23rd the triumphant army was to enter the capital, and heaven grant that the entrance of the Liberals may mark for that ungrateful city the epoch of justice, which, though late, should let its arm be felt upon the heads of those, who, by their ambition, have stained with blood the cradle of our fathers. Justice in the name of the people ! Justice in the name of the country ! Let the great work of our political and social regeneration be completed, even before sending up a thousand hymns of gratitude to the great Liberal army Glory to the conquering army ! Glory to the people and the Constitution of 1857.— Sydney Herald, April 9.
