Under the direction and management of the Stewards of the North Australian Jockey Club, to act with Stewards to be appointed by each of the Colonics. THE QUEENSLAND CHAMPION SWEEPSTAKES of £IOO each, with One Hundred Guineas added, open to all horses in the Australian, New Zealand, and Tasmanian Colonies; three miles, one event. If three or more horses start, the second to receive Two Hundred Sovereigns from the stakes ; the third horse to save his stake ; if only two start, the second to save his stake. The winner to pay £2OO towards the expenses. An allowance of 3 lbs. to all horses arriving from parts beyond the Colony within two months from the date of the race. Entrances to bo addressed and forwarded to the undersigned, Ipswich, on or before First day of MARCH, 1801. Half forfeits, to be declared within thirty days from day of race.
