Sir,—As you accommodated Mr. Joskimi Crises by inserting a letter of his in yom last issue, containing some git .si and libellous remarks against myself, •on would oblige by inserting the following few lines. In Mr. Crispe’s letter lie stales “ seriously ” (which 1 have no doubt he will find to he the ease) -lie says, ‘ Walter, have you heard the old adage that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones ? Have von forg-'t Harry Pearson and the £! 50 ; for it so, 1 could refresh your memory Bit enough to show that the said old adage would he a wise one to follow.” As the undersigned is quite unaware ol what Air. Crispe is alluding to. will he he k-iul enough L> state what he means in the next issue ot the “ New-/caian—-dei.” 1 will take no advantage of him. provided he states the hulk. lam one who like to trot others out when occasions requite, and ij I am futility I ought to he in ole an example of 1 presume Mr. Crispe has found i hornets nest, and should not he surprised were lie to lie most severely slung ; if not, the publishers and printers ot the “ Ncw-Zeaiandcr.
