The result of the applications made to the electors has been, that so large a number of names has been affixed to foe requisition, and such numerous promises of support given in addition, that the Central Committee of the Association already feel assured that it is the wish of the majority of the (electors that Mr. Whitaker shall jaia offer himself as a candidate.
