The Inchinnnn, Ca]>t>iin Pearce, and the baique Darnel Grant, Capiain Eddie, cleaied out at Srtn Francisco, (or Valparaiso, on the IBili December. The Tiberias made a good run until off the Fei'jees, whete she encountered a severe g'Weof wind, which retarded lier progress, for about eight days.— Sydney Herald, Feb. 11.

The Forest. — We have no later news from San Froncisco by this vessel. It is worthy of mention that she avrives here af er a psssage of fifty-three days, without any ballast, escepling three tuns butts and Bsveti small casks filled with water for ship's use.— 16., Feb. 15. The Bounty Hall, bound from Hongkong to Bonobay, having on board a valuable cat go, con*isting of sugars, silks, hats, and quicksilver, was Totally lost on Investigator Shod', in the China seas, on the 6th September. The Captain and crew, in all 18, reached Manila in the lontr-boat, after uuder^oui"; many privations and experiencing much bad weather. They were in the boat for 6 days and 5 nights wiih a very 6mall allowance of water and provisions. The Bounty Hall was fully lmurcd, and belonged to Messrs Buttersley and Chisholm, of Liverpool.— lb. Feb. 18. The Almeda sailed from San Francisco on the 12th Jan. at 10 a.m., wjth light and variable winds, and made a splendid run to Sydney Heads, off which she was on Friday last, 21st Feb. The Almeda is a fine bri^antine measuring 246 tons, her length on deck u 100 feet, extreme breadth 25 feet, and depth of hold 11 feet. She will be registered in Sydney, and emplo>ed in the colonial trade, to which ihe will be a great acquisition, from her light draft of water when loaded. On the Sth inst., in lat. 19*15, and long. 166*30 west, spoke the American whaling ship George and Mary, of New Bedford, out sjx months and two weeki, having taken three whales, she was bound to the Arctic Seas to fill up with a new species of whale, plentiful in those seas. — Ib. Feb. 27.

The Rattlesnake —Plymouth.— The store ihip Rattlesnake, Acting-Comtnander Yult>, arrived last night, after a lengthened passage of 177 days from Sydney. She sailed on the 2nd of May, called at the Bay of Islands, New .Zealand, on the 16lh and left on the 23rd of May, touched at the Falkland Islands on the sth, and defatted on the 25th ol July, called at Fayal on the 29th of September, and left on the sth of October. She hns on board the Port Essington Marines with iever<il invalids from Her Majesty's> ships Havannah and Meander, at New South Wales. Mr. Crawford and lady ure also passengers. The Rattlesnake did not touch at the Biazils, in consequence of the yellow fever being repoi ted there. — Times, October 25. The American ship Hannah Eddy, from Boston bound to Honko/ig, with a cargo of spars and lumbr-i, was totally lost in the Straits of Gaspur on the 13th October The captain and crew have arrived at Batavm. The Danish ship Creole, was also lost in Gaipar Straits about the middle of October.— China Mail, November 14.

Resident Magistrate's Court, Wellington. — On Monday last, an information was laid before H. St. Hill, Esq.. Resident Magistrate, by Capt, Sharp, Boarding Officer of Customs, against Mr. J.J. Peacock, master of the brig Torrington, for having made an untrue report of the cargo of the Torrington at the Custom House, by which he had become liable to a penalty of one bundled pcunds. From the evidence of Capt. Sharp, and of Mr Eades, locker at the Cus«toms, it appeared that between seven and eight tons of fl.iur, a quantify of eunpowder, shot, unmanufactured tobdcco, and oilier merchandize, were found on board, on their examination of the oirington, which were nor enteied on the manifest of the vessel. The offence beinsj fully proved, the defendant was fined the sum of one hundred pounds. We understand that the goods have also bppn seized by the Customs.— Wellington Sppclator, Jan. 13.
