Tj^Oß SALE, in whole or in part, the estate -L of Victoria, at the Bay of Islands, comprising with some small exception the whole of the township, and including in all 3260 acres, more or less, on the banks of the river Waitangi The above which is well known by every person acquainted with the Northern District to be admirably adapted for the site of a town, could not fail to prove a most profitable investment for any person not requiring an immediate return for his capital. It is the mutual outlet of the most fertile parts of the country, and in the necessary course of events must sooner or later become a place of great importance and population, a result which might be greatly accelerated by any person having capital to turn its natural advantages to account. In 1839 and 1840, before the establishment of the seat of Government at Auckland, and the consequent removal of a large part of tke inhabitants of the neighbourhood of the Bay of islands, about 6 acres were sold in allotments by Auciion, at an average of £400 and £ 422 an acre.
