Present —Hit Excellency and five members. Minutes of hut meeting read and confirmed. On the motion of the Attorney General, Thomas Walker Nene's Annuity Bill Mas read a third time and passed. On the motion of the Colonial Treasurer, that the Paper Currency Bill be read a third time, Mr. Brown moved an amendment, which was seconded by Mr. Meniman, that the bill be read a third time on this day «ix month*. The gallery was cleared for a division, and when strangers were admitted, the numbers were announced— For the original motion 3 For the amendment 2 Majority t 1 One member declining to vote. The bill was accordingly readjathird time, and pasted. The Goveruor laid on the table returns of duties collected on Spirits and Tobacco, during the three last quarters, which on the motion of Mr, Brown, were ordered to be printed.
