ADDINGTON MARKET. (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, January 18. At Addington to-day, there were again small yardings of iat. lambs and. fat sheep, but good entries in other departments. Pat cattle were easier, and exporters were able to do more business in' light cows and steers, the heavier and better quality being all taken by* Butchers. Cow beef for export was making up to 45s per'loolb overall, and steer beef a little more.' Fat lambs were nearly all: required by butchers, and prices were firmer by.ls.to-Is 6d per head. There .was a keen demand for all classes of store sheep, ewes and lambs, both being firmer. The fat sheep supply being a short one, prices were above export level, the advance being about Is .per head, wethers especially being firm. There was a good demand for forward store cattle, of which there were some well : grown lines on offer. Dairy cows sold well, as did fat pigs, But store pigs were a little easier.
