DEMAND FOR RETROSPECTIVE : ,v - ■.■ APPLICATION, (Per Press Association;) WELLINGTON, September 11, i Eegarding amendments to the system of pensions and allowances, the general secretary of the Returned Soldiers' Association states that the association intends to insist vigorously upon any increase being made retrospective to the outbreak of the war, In the opinion of the association justice demands that amendments to the existing scheme should not apply merely to those who. are leaving New Zealand in - the future, but-to all members of the £ First Division,, upon whom has fallen the heat and burden of three years of : : war- ■ .••-■
