A Wellington Press Association message says the death is announced of Mr Richard Carter, laic ..Collector of'Cus-. Toms, aged seventy-two years, Private George Gilbert,' of Duncdin, who has been awarded the Military Medal for gallantry on,the field, was assistant, in the Otago University laboratory when lie joined the Thirteenth' Keinforceinciils.
