SIGNIFICANT ABSENCE FROM POLITICAL CONFERENCE.

The frontier paper Echo von Rheinfall reports that according to Gorman deserters, a soldier threw a bomb into the Kaiser's motor, car in June. The chauffeur "and adjutant were killed. Some say that the Kaiser • escaped. Other reports declare lie was injured. It is noteworthy/-that the Kaiser did not', attend the, recent Political Conference, but' was represented by the' Crown Prince.
