BOGUS BUSINESS MAN.

WAIRARAPA FARMER . VICTIMISED. A man,, presumably the same who exploited Manawatu and Hawke's Bay recently, visited the Wairarapa a few weeks ago. He called at the residence of a fhrmer at Kopuaranga, and, under the plea that his motor, cycle had broken down, obtained lodging for the night. ' Ho represented himself as a returned soldier, saying that'his name was Wilson, and that he was in the employ of a meat company, aid was having a holiday on account of the slack season. He ascertained that the farmer was supplying rabbits to a firm in Hawke's Bay, and suggested that his company would pay a higher price than the Hawke's Bay firm for rabbits, The farmer made out an account for £2O for a month's supply of rabbits' to the Hawke's Bay firm, and the visitor offered to post the.letter while he was inquiring.'by telephone from his company.'
