THE CHRISTCHUROH APPLICAHON. MINISTER DECLINES TO ACT. WELLINGTON, July IS. In reply to letters from the director of the Technical College, Christeliurcli, relative to the application of his board to hnve the home seienee bursaries made tenable at-Christchnrc.il, the Hon, J. A. Hannii, Minister of Education, lias written sta'ting that, while he is aware that the Technical College, through its hostel, provides adequate opportunities for practical instruction ill the care and management. of "the home, he "regrets that ho cannot see : his way to accept that as a determining factor in connection with the application under, review.
