SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Per Press Association. •Following' is the meteorological weather summary and forecast:— Strong and squally westerly winds have predominated, and unsettled weather has prevailed, ivith rain in most, parts of the country. The atmospheric pressure has decreased,, but has. been somewhat unsteady in the far south. '' . ■ } Present indications arc for northerly i and westerly gales, and stormy weather. Heavy rain is probable generally, with rivers flooded in many, pans, particularly in districts with a westerly aspect, The westerly disturbance now ruling is apparently a very extensive one, and the barometer is likely to fall further everywhere, and become very low in the south. *
