SMMAJY AND FORECAST. , Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 17. Following is the' meteorological weather summary and forecast:— ' A westerly (Repression has overspread the Dominion, and freshening northwest winds have prevailed. Fair weather has continued along the East Coast, but elsewhere conditions have become unsettled, and rain has fallen to-day in the western districts and southward of Capo Egmont, and in the far south. - *

Present indications are for unsettled aud squally weather, with rain generally, and heavy rain and rivers rising on the West Coast and in the southernmost districts. Expect high westerly winds, changing to south-westerly shortly in the south. The barometer is unsteady, but falling further in the north. ' 1
