WELLINGTON GASWORKS STRIKE.
MEN BEFORE THE COURT. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 13. The seventeen men concerned in the trouble at the Gas Company's works were charged in the Magistrate's Court with being parties to a seditious strike. Mr Meredith, the Crown Law. Office, appeared fik the prosecution, and Mr O'Roegan appeared for the defendants. \ ■ After hearing the evidence for the prosecution and the addresses of counsel, tlio presiding magistrate (Mr S. E, McCarthy, S.M.) reserved his decision.
