J meeting of the Socond Division Ee . je foV Canterbury last night re--80l d that the principle if pay allowances should be ao altered that pay shall be only what is actually paid to the soldier, and that all other payments shall be classed under headings as allowances to dependants, also that pensions should be as follows; .At death the widow and dependants each £3 3s weekly, each child 10s 6d, and each motherless child 17s 6d: in case of disablement, all soldiers £3 2s, but if an attendant is needed the soldier is to receive 15s a -week extra, and the wifo and sole dependant each £l, to be in'{jreasecßo £B 3s on 1 the death of a solider, each child 10s Gil, Each soldier should receive a pension of £2 on attaining fiO years of age, ' "
