C, Bates' weather summary and forecast;— Occasional showers have fallen in the . extreme. north and south, but fair to cloudy weather has prevailed. The barometer has risen slowly,.and southerly breezes have predominated. Present indications are for freshening easterly winds, northwards of. Kawliia and East Cape, and variable breezes with moderate to strong northerlies prevailing shortly elsewhere. Fair to cloudy weather probable generally, but a change is likely soon in the northern districts. The barometer has a falling tendency in the north.
