OTAGO LAND BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The regular monthly meeting of the Otago Land Board was hold at Dunedin on Wednesday, and was attended by Mr R, T. Sadd (Commissioner of Crown Lands), Messrs T, A. Munro, 6. Livingstone, and James Smith. The following matters affecting North Otago interests were dealt with;— The non-fulfilment of residence conditions by Mr G. 11. Moore, lesseo of run 550, Benmor.e, was considered Held over for one month to enable lessee to produce, as required, all books and documents bearing on the stock and financial arrangements, '• The board considered the report of the non-residence of Mr T. D, Shanks, lesseo of run .151, Benmoro.—Time to reside granted until 31st March, 1918, to comply with residence. The board considered the report on non-residence of Mr Basil J. Smith, Lessee of Run 55i1, Benmoro—Time granted to March 31, 1918, to comply with residence.

The bonrd considered the report on non-fulfilment of residence conditions, run 5tS, Benniore, to Mr John Mollwraith, ■ of Wellington, merchant Time granted until March ,'ll, 191S, to comply with residence,

The Commissioner reported that a satisfactory settlement bad not been made in connection with the disposal of Mr S. Moore's interest in section Ifla, Totarn Settlement.—Left in hands of Commissioner.

The. following applications to transfer were dealt with: Seel ion .'lda, Windsor Park Settlement, 50 acres, Mr Alex Tel for Morgan to Mr George Robert Fiddos Approved. Section 1 fin, Elderslie Settlement, 252 acres II roods 20 poles, Mr C'has. M. Beekingsalc to Mr ,1. X. Middleton T)onnld-Ap-proved. Section IS, Block LXXVII, town of Oamnru, 1 rood, Mr William Brain to Mr Alex Muuro Tait. —Approved. Section 2la, llilderthorpe Settlement, 209 acres 2 roods 2-1 poles, Sarah Isobei Bailey to Patrick Connell, —Recommended for approval, Run 5.15, Benmore, 25,10 acres, Mr Leonard John Wright to Mr Lawrence Samuel Wootton.—Recommended for approval. Section ;!, Block IV., Swinburn, 200 a, i—Mr Thomas Mealy to Mr James George Finch.—-Declined. Mary Butler applied on behalf of her son I'Mwiu Butler (a soldier on active? service) to select section 17a, llilderthorpe Settlement,—Granted.

Mr Neil Currie desired to discontinue the grazing license held by him over section 11a, llilderthorpe.—License determined as from July 12th,

Aii application was made for alteration in pedsonal of trustees of the lata Mr T. Gilford, lessee of section 2 of 45 (VII), Moeraki Now lease issued in Hie names of Messrs Cunningham, nanlon, and William Joseph Hanlon, trustees.

Mr Thomas Manson applied to select section 13a Hilderthorpe Settlement, as an addition to the section (12a) which lie already held.—Approved, Mr James Plekworth applied to select section 7a, Hilderthorpe Settlement, as an addition to his present jholding (section Ba),—Approved. Mr James Kennedy, lesseo of section on, Hilderthorpe Settlement, applied to select adjoining section Ca, as an addition to his present holding.— Approved.
