STEAMSHIP SEVERELY DAMAGED, (Per Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) - MELBOURNE, July fl. The Navy Office announces that the steamship Cumberland has been severely damaged by explosions in the hold, 'and has hart' to hn- beached at Gabo Island. If fine weather continues, there is ft chance of saving the vessel, The Cumberland, which is 8903 tons register, left. Sydney for England on Thursday. The explosions occurred on Friday morning, No )ivog were lost. /
