CERTIFICATES IF ENROLMENT. REVISION OF SECOND DIVISION CLASSES. All members of the Expeditionary Force Reserve who have not yet obtained from tho Post Office officials tlleiv certificates of enrolment should lose no time in applying for them, and So avoid the possibility of much annoyance ami trouble to themselves.

The possession and production of an enrolment certificate is sufficient answer to the questions which any constable is empowered to ask men of military ago tinder Sections 40, 43, and 44 of the Military Service Act, 1916, Under the last-mentioned section any man who fails to answer certain questions put to him by n constable is liable, on summary convction, to imprisonment not exceedng three months, or a fine not exceeding £lO, Kcservists who change their address must notify sueli alteration, and failure to do so renders them liable to a line not* exceeding £2O, On and aftor to-day forms will be available at all post offices to reservists in the Second Division, upon which to record any alteration in the number of their children from the number mentioned when they registered, The statement as to number of children is to be as on July 11, 1917, and any reservist in the Second Division who desires to fill iu the form must do so within ten •lays from to-day (Wednesday), The form need not be filled in by any reservist who has already furnished the (lovernment Statistician with sufficient IfiforKHtioa regarding tho number of his elildrai to enable the rcaervst to bo properly classified as on July 11th. The instructions issued to postmasters state that it is particularly desired that these forms be filled in by postal officers in older to guard as far as possible against error, and to ensure prompt despatch. Tor the purposes of the classification, the form "child" is used irrespectively of age, and includes a child loyally adopted before May Ist, 1915, . a stepchild if the reservist married the mother of that child before May Ist, 1015, and an illegitimate child of the reservist if the reservist married the mother of that child before May Ist, 1915. A child who has .been legally adopted by any other person may not be counted as a child of his natural parents. Any son of a reservist who has. died while a member of any of his Majesty's military or naval forces engaged in the present war may be counted as if he had been still living,

At the Oamaru Chief Post Office an officer will be in attendance from today at the room on the first floor recently occupied by the Department of Agriculture, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., during the ten days within which the registration must lie made.
