Mr Duncan Rutherford a well-known North Canterbury pastoralisf (brother of Mr A. W. Rutherford, ex-M.P.) died somewhat suddenly this afternoon.',, He entered a private hospital-last, night, having been suffering lately from internal troubles, His name has-beeifcloso-ly associated with"the Queen Mary Hospital at the Hanmer Springs for convalescent New Zealand soldiers, to which institution he extended unbounded.generosity.'
