Erzberger, of the Centre Party declared that the military • situation was causing general uneasiness throughout the country, i' All classes were demanding'of the Government to tell the truth about the military situation arid submarine prospects. General-von Stein and Admiral Capellc replied, optimistically the latter declaring that the submarine campaign would paralyse Great Britain.' ' Herr Schiedemann demanded that the Government should make •a clear .declaration that it would accept peace without annexation, Herr.Weslral demanded an equally clear insistence upon annexations. •••■- .
