MILITARY DESERTERS.
NORTH OTAGO RESERVISTS ORDERED TO PARADE. By Gazette Extraordinary just published the following reservists in the North Otago district, who have been called up by ballot for service with the Expeditionary Forces, are ordered, to present themselves for medical examination, otherwise they .become liable as deserters, and subjected to a charge of absenting themselves without leave:— Baxter, John, farm labourer, Tiroti, Waiheino. Hore, Reuben Stanley, miner, Naseby. Johnston, Sholtow, North road, Oamaru. Lagan, Matthew, farm labourer, Kauroo Hill. Renshaw, Wm. (Jefferson Jackson), juu., painter, CronlwcH' Reid, John, farm labourer, Island Cliff. Russell, Harold John, printer, Oamaru. Sharkey, Arthur John, fanner, Gininiorburn. Harold John Russell left New Zealand with the Twenty-fifth Reinforcements, having enlisted on becoming of age, and before being drawn in the ballot,
