MIROYITCII-PTASTRO CONCERTS, On Tuesday next one of the most interesting' musical companies that have visited us, the Mirovitch-Piastro Concert Company, will give a concert at the Opera House, Moiis. Alfred Mirovitch (pianist.) and Michael Piastro (violinist), two Russian musicians, have placed themselves in the front rank of artists with Europcnn reputation, and on thoir most recent achievements in Australia the Sun says: "Two Russian artists of exceptional endowment—Alfred Mirovitch (pianist) and Michael Piastro (violinist), were, through the enterprise of J. and N. Tait, introduced yesterday, Mr Mirovitch is a pianist of fine style, commanding in his tone production, equipped with a splendid technique mill with the welcome qualities of temperament and personality. The predominant features of the. violinist's art are his ! brilliance of 'technique, his sweetness and. beauty of tone,, and his purity of intonation. It was good to hear the fine Pianoforte Concerto by Tschaikow sky, played in association with an artist of M, Mirovitch's ability. The work of the pianist was'excellent throughout, in its crispness of delivery, its atmospheric quality; and its nicety ol' finish.
