The committee of, the Forbury Parle Trotting Club met oh Monday night. Mr G. Hodges presided. The following appointments were made for,the season:—Mr 11. Brinkman, handicapper, Mr W. F. i Letters were received from the Trotting Association and tlie New Brighton Trotting Club asking the Forbury Club to choose another name for the Porbury Trotting Derby, as the name "Derby" eopld be used only once in the South Hind, and it was understood at the conference when this was passed that the New Brighton Club was entitled to the name, although the Porbury Derby was approved by the association.—Resolved to comply with the request, the question of finding Another title to be remitter! to the Programme Committee to report, The. sum of ten guineas was voted to Ihe Otago A. and P.
