GOVERNMENT NOTICES. I DEFENCE DEPARTMENT, NEW ZEALAND. SADDLERY FOR SALE BY TENDER. WRITTEN TENDERS are invited for the Purchase of 197 Lots PARTWORN SADDLERY, each containing 10 saddles; some of the lots contain, in addition, accessories such as ■ bridles, girths, surcinlges, etc. These saddle:; have been returned from Egypt as unsuitable for active service but are quite suitable for ordinary station use. The saddles, etc, may bo inspected at Prouse's •Buildings, Taranaki street, Wellington, at any lime between the hours of S a.m. to 12 and from .1 to 5 p.m., excepting Saturdays when the hours are 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Owing to the varied conditions of the saddles it is impossible to distribute samples for guidance of ;intendin« tenderers. Tenders close with the undersigned at 12 noon on SATURDAY the 30th instant. The highest or any tender nol necessarily accepted. Forms of lender may be obtained at Defence Stores, Wellington; Defence Headquarters, Dunodin, Auckland, Christchurch aud'Palmerston North, or at any other Defence Ofliee in tiie Dominion. T.
