DISTRESS IN IRELAND.

At a crowded meeting, over which the Lord Mayor presided, a motion was carried appealing for funds to alleviate the acute, distress in Ireland as the result of the rebellion, and calling on the Imperial Government to put Home Bnle into immediate operation.
