(Per Press Association ) CHMSTCIIURCII,, September 1; The .wheat market w.as much'firmer a few days ago, especially in Tuscan,-but. the disturbance caused in American and Home markets by the Entrance of Rnriiania into the war, eased the position again, There lias since been a recovery, and Tuscan is now worth fully a penny per bushel more than last week. There has been a number of sales ilnr- ' ing the week, including several farmers' lines in store, Hunters and Pearl are also firm, but with practically no change in prices, Potatoes are firm'' as offerings are limited, the price offered being £7 at country stations, There is a good demand for grass ami clover seeds for spring sowing, and prices are-abnormal-ly high, '

Shaw, at Incholme, After an. excellent 'Hunch the sale started on the cows'; some excellent prices were realised, cows close to profit fetching.from £l3 10/- to £l4 15/-, October and November calvers £9 ■ls/- to £l2 10/-, December calvers £8 10/-' to £9 10/-, springing heifers £5 10/- to £B.
