WELLINGTON, 'September 1. .' The Dominion Meteorologist (Mr D, C Bates) has issued the following weather eimmiaiT and forecast:—

( "The atmospheric pressure is now high everywhere, and fair- weather has been reported, except for passing showers in a few localities. Moderate to strong south-westerly winds have predominated.

/'Present indications are for west to south-westerly breezes generally; weather fair to cloudy, but unsettled at times about Fovcaux Strait. The barometer has a rising tendency.
