OLD AGE PENSIONS.
INCREASED IN ENGLAND. (Per Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N. 55. Cable Association.) Heceived August 31,6,45 p.m. LONDON, August 30. (Official). In view of relieving the distress among old age pensioners the Government is making a grant to meet the cost, by allowances of not exceeding an additional 2/6 weekly, to those suffering from special hardships arising out of the war.
