STATEMENT BY GENERAL ■ HENDERSON.' TWO DEATHS REPORTED, Surgeon-General Henderson, Direc-tor-General of Medical Services, inspected Trentham Camp on Thursday, and on Friday visited Fentherston and Taiiherenikau camps.,, In a statement to a Post- reporter on Saturday, General Henderson said he found Taiiherenikau and Fcathcrston camps clean and the troops in good •spirits. There was a certain . amount of slight colds and influenza among the Nineteenth Rcinforiicnients, but the health of the Nineteenths was steadily improving and could now be pronounced as normal. "Taiiherenikau," remarked thp General, '.'is a. very good site." At. Fcathcrston the suspected case, of cerebro-spiiial meningitis had proved not to be suffering from that complaint. The sole • remaining case of cerebrospinal meningitis was improving. There were two ■ serious cases of pneumonia after measles at Fcathcrston.

At Ti'cntliam Hospital on Friday night. Private. W. R. Mcintosh, of the Nineteenth specialists died of pneumonia, following measles. He went into hospital with measles on August loth, and pneumonia supervened two days' later, 'terminating fatally as stated. Of the live cerebrospinal meningitis cases at Trentham camp two ' men have been taken off the danger list and the three others were holding their own. A suspicious case developed among the medical orderlies on Friday nightl and another soldier, who was admitted to hospital on the 14th inst.
