At tli« Addington market there were smal|er entries ami the stock yarding of beef showed a fulling oft', ami prices were firmer. Fat sheep formed the smallest entry for the last few months and the market was very firm, Store sheep were in keen demand, and the small entry sold at high rates, twotooth halfbred owes selling up to 425. Pigs again sold well. There was a good domain! for store and dairy cattle. Store Sheep—Hoggets (mixed sexes) .lbs 9d to 23s 7d, hoggets ewes 17s, two-tooth ewes 37s (id to 425, six and wethers 29s Ott, sound mouth owes 19s Gd to 20s Gd, merino ewes Ds, two and four-tooth wethers 22s 3d to 345, four and six-tooth wethers Ms lid, four-tooth wethers 20s Oil to 295, merino wethers 12s lOd to 18s. Vat Sheep—Extra prime wethers-to 445, prime -wethers 30s to 395, others 25s 7d to 20s Gd, prime ewes 29s to 355, medium ewes 25s to 28s Gd, other:* 20s Gd to 24s 6d, hoggets 24s to 24s lOd.

BUBNBIDE MARKETS. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, August 30. At Btirnsidc to-day, 220 fat cattle were yarded. The quality was good but the entry exceeded requirements and' prices declined los to 20s. Best bullocks £lB to £2,0, extra £2l 12s (id, good £l4 10s to £l6 10s, medium £l2 10s to £i:> 10s, best cows and heifers £l2 10s to £l4 10s, medium to good ,£lO 10s to £l2.

■Sheep—2llso were penned, a large proportion, being good quality. Freezing buyers were operating, but in. most cases prices were beyond their limits. The demand at good prices was equal to last week's rates. Best wethers 3(is to 38s, extra 40s, good 512s to'Ms (id. medium 29s to ills, best ewes *J4s to illis,, extra .19s, medium to good 27s to 30s. Lambs'—Forty-two were penned, realising late rates. Pigs—Forty-six fats and thirty-three stores were* penned, Competition was very keen.
