(Per Press Associiition.) GISBORNE, August 29. 'The three-year-old daughter of Mr G, Lysky was fatally scalded through the overturning of a pot of boiling potatoes. NASBBY, August 29. A sad fatality occurred at Kycburn diggings on Monday, when a young married man named Edwin Francis Parker was killed while working in his claim. He was working in a deep tailrace when a large quantity of earth, which had been undermined by water, suddenly fell and crushed him. Mr Parker was a. well-known and muchrespected resident of the district.
