Subject to necessary alterations, mails will close at the Chief Post Office, Oamaru, as follows: For North Island, per north express at 2 p.m. daily; and on Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, August 31.

For Chatham Islands, per north express at 2 p.m., connecting with steamer at Lyttellon. For United Kingdom and Europe, per North express at 1 p.m. Friday, September 1.

For Australiau States (due Melbourne September 7), and South Africa/ per north express at 2 p.m., connecting with the Paloona at Wellington. For Expeditionary Forces (letters only), per North express at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 2, For Australian States (due Sydney September 1) and South Africa, per north express at 2 p.m., connecting with the A r ictoria at Auckland,

For Earotonga and Tahiti, per north express at 2 p.m., connecting with the Flora at Auckland.
