(Per Press Association,) WELLINGTON, August 26...; Letters received in Cartei'ton aiid Masterton indicate .that the-soldier, who 'deserted to the Germans formerly lived near Carterton. A farmer in that, district states that .the'deserter worked for him. WELLINGTON, August 27. ~ Regarding the case of the deserter who was supposed to have come from Carterton district, Mr Allen said last night that -the Government did not feel justified in publishing tho man's name, pending receipt ' of the' details from Home, which had been asked i'or. Steps had been taken, however, to deal with .the matter as sooiras information'was available. '
