It is officially announced that the" Clyde.and Tyne Commission for .the Dilution of Labour, has been assumed by the officers of the Ministry of Munitions and the Dilution lias already been established in. one hundred and fifty of the largest of the three hundred controlled engineering and shijAyard establishments on the Clyde. Fourteen thousand women.have been introduced by the Commission, and the majority of them are engaged in general engineering . work,: excluding . shells. Agreements'for dilution in'the shipbuilding and-ship-preparing yards on the Clyde and Tyne has been arranged with all the.principal shipyard- trades. The interchaugibility of the members' of different shipyard trades, and the introduction of unskilled men and women is proceeding satisfactorily.
