FIGHTING ON THE CARSO. . AERIAL ACTIVITY, (Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association,) Received August ,17, 7,i!0 p.m. v LONDON, August 17. An Italian oilicial says: We repulsed an attack on.the Carso, ami shelled the railway station at Santaluciu and Tol.miiio, where the movements of trains were reported, Our aeroplanes bombarded Reinenburg railway station on ,the Gorizia Trieste line, with good results. Hostile seaplanes bombed Venice.' Grago, and •Logoon. The damage was slight (Australian and s.'&. Cable Association.) 'LONDON, August.lS. An Austrian communique says: The .Italians on Wednesday attacked us live times, many ranks deep, between ■Wippack River and Oppachisclia. Only at one point were we obliged to draw back. After hand to hand fighting the attacks everywhere else' broke down, under our lire, with exceedingly heavy losses. . .

Italy is forbidding Italians to trade with enemy states, or their allies, and persons or bodies established in territory belonging to or occupied by them. A second decree places under Government control and renders them liable to sequestration of liquidation, if necessary, ail commercial undertakings in Italy belonging or controlled by subjects of the enemy states or allies.
