, .(■- 1 ■■■■ AUCKLAND, August 17. • Bobert- Carson', aged fifty-two years, a waterside worker, died to-day as the result of'a razor wound believed to have been' self -inflicted. Patereoii, who walfomid lying on the railway, line near Belfast on Sunday, suffering ./from injuries, died in the hospital to-day.. The deceased worked at Belfast as a carpenter. P. Kerr, a linesman on the Lake Coleridge electrical-supply works, was electrocuted ■at Taj Tapu .Dairy Works while working wltli an .11,000-volt wire, At;, the inquest the evidence showed that ',Kcrn was working with a dead line .some five feet, under a live cable' carrying 11,000 volts. He stood up, bringing his head into connection with the live wire. A verdict of accidental death was returned, and the Coroner added a rider that the Public, Works Department shouhUccyisider the possibility, of .making some contrivance which would minimise the danger for men who were working near live wires, Mr L.
