EXTENDING JAPAN'S TRADE

ENVOYS TOR AUSTRALASIA. . ' TWO OFFICIALS EXPECTED, WELLINGTON, Feb, 13, The two Japanese commercial envoys, Dr. Jissell Misura and Mr N. Matsumurn, will reach Wellington towards the end of next month, arriving via Hobarr. Mr T, Young, Japanese Consul for New Zealand, has been informal that the visitors will proceed from Wellington to Nelson and Auckland. ' They will be officially met here by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. • Dr. Misura' is one of .the most prominent.commercial men in Japan. Up to the time of his leaving there for Australia, ho occupied the position of (Secretory of the Department of Commerce of the Japanese, ; Go,yernmcnt, mid in this post lie distinguished himsolf as a lender in Hie progressive trade movement which has sent Japan ahead as a producing ttnd industrial country. He was responsible..for introducing into the East a number of modern ideas,, and set going a-scheme.for furthering Japan's trade relations. in many unexplored grounds,... It was.in recognition of this work that the Japanese Government, sent Dr. Misura out to Australia on'his present, important mission, and he is to take up the permanent position in Sydney of Japaneso Commissioner of Commerce in Australia.

Japan is appointing-a number of trade commissioncra to Australasia, who• will f be.under Dr. Misura's guidance, The Dominion will probably have one, or possibly two, such commissioners residing permanently in the country. :•
