The quality was not so good as that,offered at the last two oi three sales, a large number of cattle being not quite prime enough fdr 'exporters, and the sale was a little dragging in consequence. Prices showed a drop of about 10/- per head and eased even a little further towards the finish. Prime beef was selling at from 40/to 42/- per lOOlbs. and cow and heifer beef from 38/-. to 40/-. Prime heavy bullocks were worth from £l7 to £lB 10/-, good £l3 10/- to £l4 10/-, light £lO 10/- to £l2. Best cows and heifers fetched £lO to £ll 15/-, extra to £l4 "Ifi/ii, medium to good £8 to £9 10/-, flight £5 to £6 10/-. Fat Sheep:—323o were penned, Hi" majority of which were prime quality wethers. Owing to the large yarding prices were a little easier all round. .Freezing buyers were not opera ting so keenly as of late. Quotations are:—. Lambs:—Twenty-Iwo of the new season's lambs were penned and these brought up to 2S/-, according to size and quality. Pigs:—There was a very large yarding of store pigs which were slightly easier in value. Fat pig 3 were in medium supply and realised:—Late values suckers 10/- to 15/6, slips 17/- to 21/-, . stores to 32/6, porkers 42/6 to SO/-, light baconers 52/- to 58/-, heavy baeoneja tq-72/G.
