The ladies of Upper .Waitaki have purchased a troophorse. The animal, which js a line upstanding dark brown mare, was bred by Mr William M'cKinnon, Otek'aike, and has been sent lo the camp at Taliuna Park, fully equippey by Mr Spiers with military saddle, bridle, and cover,' The following ladies contributed:— Mesdames Spiers, Jits, Barclay, Beid, Hugh Barclay, T.
