Notwithstanding the fact that the Admiral Sampson was enveloped in llamcs through the bursting of an oil tank, the rescuers., from the Princess Victoria acted so promptly that the bulk of the Admiral .Sampson's passengers were removed safely, during the few minutes the two vessels remained interlocked.
