WHITEWASHING.
Give the ceiling and walls a good sweeping and then apply a good coat of whitewash. To make this dairy "paint," take 20 lbs, of unslacked lime, 3 lbs. common salt and i lb. of alum. Slack the lime with boiling water until of the consistency of thin cream. To increase tnc antiseptic properties of the wash, add \ pint of crude carbolic acid to each bucketful. Apply with a brush or spray pump,
